RGB stands for Red, Green, and Blue, a color model used to create color on screens and digital devices by mixing light. It is the standard color space for digital design, web graphics, and anything intended to be viewed on monitors, phones, and tablets.

RGB matters in print and packaging because files designed in RGB can look different once converted to print color, which is typically CMYK or spot colors. For accurate brand color and predictable results, RGB artwork is usually converted during prepress, and critical colors may be matched using Pantone spot colors or approved proofs.
